Molly Oleson

I am a highly experienced editorial illustrator who creates illustrations for publications. With a master's degree in journalism from U.C. Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism and a B.F.A. in painting from Boston University's College of Fine Arts, I have a passion for combining storytelling and art.

I have created hundreds of illustrations and designs for columns and stories, and have produced multiple long-form illustrated pieces and collaborative projects that incorporate writing and audio.

For the last 10 years, I have worked as an editor, writer, photographer and illustrator at various publications in the San Francisco Bay Area. Focusing on editorial illustration allows me to combine all of my experience in writing, editing and art to come up with the most creative way to visually represent stories that an audience will connect deeply to.

I have a master's degree in journalism from U.C. Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism, and a B.F.A. in painting from Boston University's College of Fine Art. I have also taken outside art and journalism classes to explore new ways of storytelling.
