I am an LPN that has worked with all age groups in multiple different settings. I started out in 2017 after graduating at a Skilled Nursing Facility on both the rehabilitation floor and the long term care floor. I moved from there to adults at a major hospital here in North Alabama on the renal and internal medicine floor. From there, I moved to pedicatrics working in a pediatric PCP clinic (Oct 2018 - present).

Pediatric PCP Care (Oct 2018 - present) - Triaging patients; tracking vital signs and growth measurements; administering vaccines; administerting medications (oral and IM); documenting in EMR; in-office procedures such as urinary catheters and ear flushes; in-office labs such as hemoglobin, blood glucose, nasal and throat swabs; ordering outside labs, imaging, and procedures; completing forms; initiating referrals; patient/parent education; constant contact between patients/parents and their doctor; taking and returning patient/parent phone calls; scheduling appointments; scheduling outside labs, images, and procedures. I trained almost the entire office when we switched to a new EMR 2 summers ago, and continue to be a trainer for new employees.

Adult care in hospital setting (Feb 2018 - Sept 2018) - 3rd shift - Daily medical needs of short term patients. Monitoring vital sings, administering medications (oral, IV, and IM), assessing patients, assisting patients with their needs, checking blood glucose and administering appropriate insulin, entering doctors orders, taking admissions and discharging patients

Long Term and Rehab (Aug 2017 - Feb 2018) - Passing medications, wound care, tending to daily health care needs of long term residents and short term rehab patients, admissions, discharges, entering doctors orders, overseeing CNAs.
