Senior Manager, Operations, Engagement Team - Opportunity@Work - Remote
(2026-02)
Promoted internally from Senior Executive Assistant for surpassing goals and for excellence in support of O@W's mission, vision, and culture.
- Executive partnership. Serve as proactive operations partner to the Chief Engagement Officer — managing priorities, anticipating needs, and bringing structure to a complex, fast-moving portfolio. Provide strategic calendar and priority management that reflects organizational goals, sequencing, and tradeoffs rather than logistics alone.
- External representation. Represent the Engagement team externally with partners, funders, collaborators, and senior stakeholders; draft and manage external communications for Engagement initiatives in the organizational voice, in close partnership with the Chief Engagement Officer.
- Team operating systems. Own and continuously improve the Engagement team's internal operating systems — documentation, shared drives, Confluence spaces, templates, and workflows; set the norms for how the team collaborates, communicates, and manages work asynchronously.
- Meeting design. Design, manage, and facilitate team meetings so they are well-structured and outcomes-driven.
- Project and initiative management. Lead special initiatives on behalf of the Chief Engagement Officer as project manager across internal and external partners, managing timelines, deliverables, logistics, and communications for priority projects, convenings, and events.
- Board and governance. Support the Chief Engagement Officer in their role as Board Secretary across Board governance — board recruitment/onboarding, meeting preparation, materials coordination, and communication, ensuring Board workflows are organized, timely, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Scope beyond the role. Concurrently support the Vice President of Resource Mobilization and the Senior Director of Marketing; own external scheduling, invoice and budget tracking, asset management, and business card ordering; provide administrative coverage across 5 business units as organizational needs shift.
