- Performs first line analysis when non-conforming material is detected. Submits quality rejection claims (QR's) to suppliers and initiates immediate containment (ERA) in the plant and at the supplier's site to avoid disruptions to the logistics and production processes
- In conjunction with Supplier Quality, initiate the escalation process (IPA) for low performing suppliers based on PPM, number of QR claim incidents, and repeat non-conforming material occurrences that cause disturbances to Volvo Cars US
- Organize and facilitate "kick-off" meetings with logistics, production, R&D and Trigo (onsite 3rd Party company) to ensure prompt reaction timing when a containment, sort or rework activity is required. Periodically perform audits (QPS) on sort/rework activities to ensure provided work instructions are understood and being adhered to, which mitigates non-conforming material escaping into the production processes
- Systematically routes all suspect material to an in-house processing area to ensure all material meets VCC specifications before it's stored or delivered to internal processes. Communicates to internal customers (production) ensuring "Right for Me" and only quality approved material is delivered to the processes
