I have strong experience in molecular biology, cancer biology, and immunology techniques. My main interest is cancer immunotherapy and the immune landscape in the tumor microenvironment, as well as extracellular vesicles (exosomes). However, I have a very strong background in animal care, tumor establishment, and drug delivery. My background in RNA biology and epigenetic alteration is strong.
I bring a global perspective and deep technical expertise to cutting-edge cancer research. My multidisciplinary background spanning tumor immunology, immune modulation, RNA biology, and CAR-T therapies has continually reinforced my commitment to uncovering novel therapeutic avenues and reprogramming the tumor microenvironment.
After earning my PhD in immunology, where I investigated immune escape mechanisms in pancreatic cancer and designed dendritic cell-based vaccines with IDO inhibitors, I have pursued advanced postdoctoral research at premier institutions. Currently, I have worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at Johns Hopkins University’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute, where I focused on immune profiling and target validation in pediatric brain tumors and prostate cancer. My work involves RNA-seq-driven discovery of immunotherapeutic targets and functional validation using CRISPR/Cas9, in vivo models (PDX, orthotopic), and flow cytometric immune phenotyping
