Being in this Cafe I had be included in different positions, starting from Dining room to the back of the house. To work at Panera, I understand that a general goal for the company is to teach employees how to accomplish every position in the Cafe. It helped me to be more confident in how we operate and the menu options we offer.
- Cleaning up tables and sweeping the floors. Restocking condiment containers and refilling beverages. Was also responsible for cleaning the restrooms, changing garbages, and bussing.
- Expediting orders that are for here, for rapid pick-up, or for deliveries.
- Being in the back to do prep work. Preparing foods in portions or combining ingredients, making all foods ready to eat when labeled and put in containers. Some knowledge of food safety was necessary.

For a discounted department store, they carried a broad selection of named brands. To work there as an associate and to help customers, it also helped to be aware of what we have in the store to assist anyone to the ideal product.

- Working with markdowns. Divided sections for me and another employee to do markdowns by departments. Every single product we carried was always tracked in the system, even when it is not marked down.
- Moving around the sales floor, being responsible for organizing product presentations, cleaning up after customers, rearranging. Of course plenty of questions will be asked and having a lot of answer provided.
- In charge of fitting room, meaning limited amount of clothing per individual, collecting unwanted clothes from customers once done with fitting room. Preventing item theft when necessary.

- Being the person to change signs, apply new markdowns on merchandise, and making sure that it is all tracked in the system.
- To work with a few other pricing associates and the person in charge of markdowns, there were no complications. In groups, we were assigned to markdown by sections in the store.
- As an Sales Associate, I organized, cleaned up, and rearranged merchandise, while helping customers with general directions and sales.
