Nathan Harding

I am majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Food Science at Iowa State University. I will graduate in December 2025.

I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout the summer after my senior year of high school. My project was building compost piles and garden planters at St. Bernadette School. Then I worked with the middle school and preschool teachers to set up a program to be integrated into the existing curriculum.

I am the Vice President of the Cardinal Swing Society at Iowa State. I am also the Event Coordinator for No Re-Choir-Ment A Cappella.

I have been a Supervisor at the UDM Dining Center at Iowa State for over 2 years, where I have learned many skills like conflict resolution, quick time problem solving, many aspects of food preparation, and many interpersonal and organizational skills.

I worked at Cornhusker Beverage during the summers while in high school. There, I learned to analyze an area, figure out what needs to be done, and ensure the task is completed. I also learned by observing my boss, Jim Sobczyk, how to inform customers about the store's products when they were uncertain.

I will graduate from Iowa State University in December 2025 with a B.S. in Chemistry and a food science minor.
