• Designed and executed bacterial genetics projects investigating protein assembly, regulation, and morphogenesis in C. difficile spores.
• Constructed and validated translational reporter plasmids and engineered C. difficile strains through Gibson assembly, E. coli transformation, conjugative transfer, PCR screening, and sequence verification.
• Performed PCR-based molecular biology workflows including DNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, gel extraction/purification, plasmid isolation, NanoDrop quantification, and sequence verification.
• Prepared culture media, selective plates, buffers, plasmid DNA, and molecular biology reagents; maintained laboratory equipment and followed BSL-2 safety practices.
