My name is Nicholas Manisero, I hold my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Human Behavior (Mental health). I have worked with a diverse amount of populations to working as a DSP in group homes and caretaker for seniors and worked as a Social Worker intern at UNCW at a nursing home working with seniors with dementia to working as a social worker at a non profit organization (Dreams of Wilmington) with teens. In 2019 I had an injury after hours at a child development center that changed my course of my health; I developed facial nerve pain also known as Trigeminal Neuralgia and it was chronic and painful.
I worked and researched through finding healthy solutions and doctors until I finally had mvd surgery with the best surgeon who was taught by the man himself who created this decompression nerve surgery. I got the long term surgery for the best results in 2022, took two to almost three years to fully heal (being pain free) and it was a god blessing I had my family to help me and my surgeon‘s hands were made by god to help me live a normal life. I understand what it is like to have to take medication being in physical and mental pain, but now I’m healthy and resilient seeking a CSW job in healthcare.
I love helping others and have serious empathy for my future patients/clients, but I like to say human beings who just need help! I am officially certified as a social worker in the state of NJ.
