Nichole Johnston

I am a multi-modality sonographer. I am a Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Registered Radiologic Technologist. I have certifications in OB/GYN and Abdomen; I’m seeking a position as an Ultrasonographer with your facility and I hope to be provided an opportunity to interview with you.

I graduated from Spartanburg Technical College with an Associate Degree in Radiology Technology in 1998. This degree has given me 25 years’ experience and the pleasure of working as a medical professional in a hospital setting and, in a physician’s, private practice. While in the physician’s practice, I was crossed-trained in various nursing duties.

I enjoyed assisting the physicians in delivering quality patient care. I have also been exposed to insurance aspects in healthcare. The Sonography program which I completed is accredited through The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

This program has required me to fulfill the detailed requirements for a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Specifically, it has required mastering critical thinking skills and pathology recognition in the areas of abdomen, obstetrics, gynecology and breast. As a result, I have acquired a broad foundation in all of the core areas of ultrasound.

During my clinical rotations, I have experience working on the Acuson-Seqouia 512, GE Logic E-7, GE Logic E-9, the Toshiba Aplio, GE and Mindray mobile machines. I’m very passionate about my career in the field of ultrasound. I enjoy performing as a radiologic technologist but also love the challenge and critical thinking that is required to be a sonographer.

I am self-motivated, team player, competent, and very hard working. I welcome the opportunity to be cross-trained in any aspect of ultrasound or other imaging modalities.
