Nikoleta Klikovac is a theatre educator and researcher with a BS in Theatre and Psychology from Hillsdale College. She is currently pursuing an MA in Theatre Practice from the University College Dublin, which she will have completed by August 2025. Her concentration is on psychoanalytic theory in theatre performance with an emphasis on Christian imagery in the Western theatre canon.
Klikovac has vast experience working with children: from being a camp counselor throughout high school to serving as an artistic director for a children's theatre company during her undergraduate years. She has extensive experience in Alexander Technique, Viewpoints, and Meisner as an actress. References and academic texts are available upon request.
My experience as an educator resides in the year I spent as the Artistic Director of Acts of Youth Theatre Company based in Hillsdale, MI. I built the small curriculum offered to the members that focused on design, stage management, and acting. I was present during the first year before a brief hiatus had to be enacted due to funding issues. In that year, we established a working understanding of the theatre in students aged 5-17 and put together a scene showcase for parents and local townsfolk.
I received my BS in Theatre and Psychology from Hillsdale College and I am in the process of obtaining my MA in Theatre Practice from University College Dublin.
