Olivia Pitts

Hello! I am a recent graduate in Global Communications and Film Studies with 2.5 years of experience abroad. I am currently a teacher at Bright Horizons Childcare. I have a passion for travel, hospitality, creative marketing, video editing, and photography.

I am highly driven, adaptable, and have a global outlook, thanks to my experience living abroad. I am a native English speaker with growing proficiency in French. All around, I am motivated to bring a creative mind, initiative, and an international perspective to your company.

Since 2023, I have worked for Bright Horizons Childcare Center, where I was promoted from part-time to full-time teacher. In this role, I plan and lead daily curriculum for classes ranging in size from 10 to 22 students, collaborate with co-teachers, and communicate regularly with families. During the school day, I maintain a caring, professional relationship with students while fostering an inclusive environment for everyone.

I ensure that paperwork is completed and sent to families promptly. This experience has allowed me to hone my leadership and organizational skills while also teaching me to adapt quickly in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

Through my studies in Global Communications, I have developed a strong understanding of cross-cultural dialogue and media dynamics. During my undergraduate studies in Paris, my coursework included Management & Organizational Behavior, Media Globalization, and Communication Theory & Research Methods, all of which strengthened my analytical and interpersonal skills. During my final semester, I worked on a senior thesis focused on raising awareness of consumer culture driven by influencer marketing.

I presented my findings to a panel of judges and professors who evaluated my work. This project reinforced my ability to research, present, and think critically about global communication trends.
