I have over 15 years of experience in the aquatics field, managing and training staff, maintaining safe and efficient pool operations, and teaching a wide range of Red Cross certification courses. My work has included roles in recreation centers, health clubs, and rehabilitation facilities, where I’ve focused on promoting water safety, developing strong teams, and improving program quality. I also run my own business, Zierke Aquatic Training, where I provide lifeguard, CPR, and swim instruction for individuals and organizations.

Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to creating safe, engaging aquatic environments that help people build confidence and skills in the water.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from St. Gregory the Great Seminary, where I developed strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills that guide my approach to teaching and management. In addition, I’ve completed extensive professional training in aquatics through the American Red Cross, including certifications as a Lifeguard Instructor, CPR/First Aid Instructor, and Pool Operator.

This blend of formal education and specialized aquatic training has given me both the analytical and practical skills to lead, teach, and ensure safety in a wide range of aquatic environments.
