Hello,
My name is Etienne Pauline, and I am a bilingual French-English nanny and childcare professional currently based in New York.
I hold a Master's degree in Art Education and have several years of experience caring for children of various ages, from infants to school-aged children. Throughout my childcare experience, I have supported children's development through creative activities, outdoor play, age-appropriate learning, and nurturing daily routines.
I am passionate about creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children can grow, explore, and express themselves. My background in art education allows me to bring creativity, imagination, and educational value into everyday activities. I especially enjoy creating hands-on art projects, nature-based activities, and enriching experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, and creativity.
As a native French speaker fluent in English, I would be delighted to support a bilingual environment and introduce children to the French language and culture when desired.
I am responsible, energetic, patient, and genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships with children and their families.
I would love the opportunity to discuss how I could support your family. My resume and references are available upon request.
Most recently, I cared for an infant beginning at 5 months old and a 3-year-old child in a private family setting. My responsibilities included preparing bottles and meals, managing nap schedules, diaper changes, supporting developmental milestones, organizing age-appropriate activities, accompanying the children to parks and local activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. I worked closely with the parents to ensure consistency in routines, communication, and developmental goals.
Prior to that, I worked in a nanny-share arrangement caring for two 3-year-old boys. This role required strong organization, patience, and the ability to balance the needs of two children simultaneously. I planned engaging daily activities, encouraged social-emotional development, facilitated cooperative play, prepared meals and snacks, supported toilet training, and helped establish healthy routines.
Managing a nanny share also strengthened my communication skills with multiple parents and taught me how to create a harmonious environment for children from different households.
I also cared for two school-aged children, ages 5 and 10. My responsibilities included school pick-ups, homework assistance, meal preparation, organizing creative and educational activities, supervising playdates, accompanying the children to extracurricular activities, and supporting their emotional well-being. I enjoyed helping them build independence while providing structure and guidance.
In addition to my nanny experience, I hold a Master's degree in Art Education, which has greatly influenced my approach to childcare. I love incorporating creativity into children's daily lives through art projects, sensory activities, storytelling, music, nature exploration, and hands-on learning experiences. I believe that children learn best through play, curiosity, and meaningful engagement with their environment.
As a bilingual French and English speaker, I am also able to introduce children to French language and culture through games, songs, books, conversation, and everyday interactions when families are interested in bilingual exposure.
Throughout all of my childcare roles, I have prioritized creating a safe, nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged to grow. Families have described me as patient, dependable, attentive, creative, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of their children.
