I am currently improving my education by delving into the world of cybersecurity. I am enrolled in a certificate program, and am accumulating current ITS and CompTIA certifications. I have obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification and am actively seeking others part time while I satisfy the requirements of my job.

I have a strong background in SaaS solutions related to accounting and business management. My experience included consulting with clients to understand their business needs in order to provide solutions that far exceeded the current path they were on. Using SQL and other software scripts I followed through with data conversion, exporting and importing data from their previous platform, and worked directly with management and staff throughout the implementation.

Prior to implementation I was hands-on in sales meetings, ensuring that our software would satisfy all the accounting and business management needs of multiple service and business-to-business sales, and construction industries. During the transition I always focused on making their system better and more efficient minimizing disruption of day-to-day operations. I have a positive outlook and professional approach with my communications.

I have 35 years of diverse experience as a software engineer, mostly holding full-stack and database analyst positions. I have a strong background in database systems, program design, and Implementation. Over the years I have become a strong liaison providing successful customer interactions with software users and management, in a team environment.

I graduated from UTC in 1990, the year before the world wide web was invented. As a result of my work experience, before and after graduation, I became an expert in database structures and information systems. Before graduating I obtained a deep understanding of accounting and business management using database technology while I was working at Habitat International, a manufacturing and carpet distribution company.

After graduation I enjoyed working with cutting edge technology like the speech recognition programs we developed at Integrated Voice Solutions. But because of my desire to obtain a sound understanding of outdated technology, I went to work for Provident Life & Accident Insurance to get experience with the world of mainframes.

I have a Bachelor's Science in Computer Science Information Systems degree graduating Cum Laude from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and am now enrolled in a Cybersecurity program at George Stone Technical College in Pensacola, FL.
