Peyton TenEyck

I am motivated, enjoy learning new things, and have a long-standing interest in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I also have experience with systems engineering applications and a desire to learn more. I have experience with multiple relevant industry software programs, including SolidWorks CAD. I am a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and I have extensive experience working within teams.

FastTest Laboratory Assistant, Morgan Hill, CA Aug. 2019 – Mar. 2020

• Determined standard deviations, developed and maintained stability data, ran statistical analysis on method data
• Reviewed stability data, statistical analysis data, and potential causes for deviation weekly with laboratory head

• Researched and participated in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace projects and lectures on orbital mechanics, airplane dynamics, simple harmonic motion, electrical circuits, buckling and bending, viscous flow between two plates, and supersonic and hypersonic flows
• Presented on smoke tunnels, surface flow visualizations, and turbulence 

• Conducted experiments and presented projects on bio-toxicity, supercapacitors, and photolithography

• Collaborated with 8 peers in a project utilizing natural language processing
• Participated in lectures, hands-on research and presenting of projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence

• Used SolidWorks and MATLAB to simulate the Cubli and determine where to put the extra sensors
• Determined how to better measure center of gravity, recalculated center of gravity, and added sensors to the Cubli to allow the cube to balance on one corner

• Independently built an 8-foot-long sailing dinghy using the glue and stitch method

I am a second-year engineering student at Harvey Mudd College. I was on the Dean's List in 2021. My current GPA is a 3.713.

Relevant coursework includes Gravitation, Mechanics and Wave Motion, Single and Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Engineering Systems, Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures/Program Development, and Engineering Design/Manufacturing.

I am doing research at Harvey Mudd in the Flow Imaging Lab at Mudd. The research entails working with low-cost open-source three-dimensional fluid flow measurements and designing and building validation experiments that evaluate measurement techniques and analysis of biological propulsion data.

I am proficient in Python, Racket, Java, C++, SolidWorks, MATLAB, and GitHub.
