Windchill Solution Technical Architect - Stryker
- Defined the future-state PLM architecture for the Windchill 12.0.2 to 13.1.2 program: because a direct upgrade isn't supported, I designed a two-stage path (12.0.2 to 13.0, then 13.1.2) along with the target topology, hardware sizing, and high-availability layout for each environment.
- Converted legacy change objects and links from Mixed/Legacy to Flexible mode with the FlexibleChangeConverter utility, a prerequisite for the 13.1 data model.
- Ran the program's technical governance: engineering standards and code review gates for the offshore development team, change control on environment builds, and Quality audit reviews of the technical documentation for GxP/FDA compliance.
- Presented architecture decisions, risks, and program status to client IT leadership and Business Process Owners throughout the program, and validated functional test alignment with them.
- Tracked down and fixed a workflow task-initialization slowdown that was blocking UAT for over 150 users; root cause was an Oracle index problem, confirmed with PTC support. Also tuned method servers, worker configurations, and database indexes after each upgrade pass.
- Built version-specific deployment packages for each milestone, ran environment sync, test cases, and defect tracking through Azure DevOps, and wrote the production cutover run-book and IQ/OQ/PQ validation deliverables.
