Phoebe Dragseth

Phoebe began experimenting with fashion at the age of four when her grandmother taught her how to first use a sewing machine. Since then, her love for clothes and design has grown exponentially. Today, in addition to studying pure math and political science at Brown University, she pursues fashion design through access to Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) courses and Fashion@Brown’s Design Team.

Geoffrey Mac LLC, Fashion Design Intern New York, NY | June 2022 – August 2022

• Worked in a team of three with designer Geoffrey Mac to finish his Odyssey Collection 
  • This included designing/constructing/ tailoring over 40 pieces, running a full industry-level photo shoot, retouching images, and creating a marketing campaign for the brand
• Styled actors and musicians such as Donald Glover, Tawny Newsome, and Shea Coulee 
• Worked with Marvel Studios on an upcoming television series 
• Designed and constructed pieces for Sylvan Esso 

• Worked in a team of three with designer Larissa Muehleder to design new pieces, construct samples, negotiate manufacturing terms, source materials, plan ad campaigns, speak with customers, pack orders, and more
• Constructed pieces for Camila Cabello, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Simmons

• Fashion@Brown consists of over 300 fashion aficionados
• Joined Fashion@Brown in September 2020 and was elected to Director of Design in May 2022. 
• Leads a group of over 50 young designers to teach them to sew and construct collections for Brown Fashion Week
• Brought Fashion@Brown to Rhode Island StyleWeek and will have Fashion@Brown featured in Rhode Island’s Fashion Week 2023 
• Produced three collections with Fashion@Brown
