My name is Prakash Jayanthi, I am a 3rd year CT surgery fellow at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart Institute, graduating July 2025. I am interested in the breadth of CT surgery, including complex coronary, structural heart disease, MIS/Robotic surgery, Arrhythmia surgery, and Heart Failure/MCS; with wide exposure during the course of my training. This is also informed by my training in Surgical Critical Care, as I enjoy serving this complex patient population.
I also have an interest in teaching and research, both of which I find to be fulfilling endeavors.
I am interested in the breadth of adult cardiac surgery, including complex coronary, structural heart disease, MIS/Robotic approaches, Arrhythmia surgery, and especially Heart Failure/Mechanical Circulatory Support/Transplant; with wide exposure during the course of my training. This is also informed by my background in Surgical Critical Care, a skillset I have found to be invaluable as I serve this complex patient population. In addition, I am attending a 3-part Abbott Heart Failure course this year to further my understanding of this area of medicine.
