I am graduating in August 2023 with a Biology with an Emphasis in Marine Biology Degree. I am a hard worker that is eager to learn and be a positive impact on the world around me.
I have worked as an intern with the Texas Freshwater Fish Hatcheries from the age of 14 to 18. My intern responsibilities included food prep and food distribution for the marine species in the hatcheries, assisting scientists, cleaning tanks and filters, assisting hatchery costumers in fishing, directions, checking in, etc. and finally, I helped with special events held at the hatcheries.
I have worked as an intern with GVI. I worked remotely for 6 months in 2022. My responsibilities changed depending on which conservation organizations I was working with at the time. With Breath Conservation, I created teaching slides with basic marine biology information to be taught to underprivileged children in South Africa. With Healthy Reefs, I analyzed herbivorous fish and algal coverage data using an R code. Lastly, with INAPESCA, I analyzed shrimp maturity data using an R code.
I am currently in a lab studying lobster metabolism for an independent study to finalize my Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology with an Emphasis in Marine Biology at San Diego State University. I will be completely my degree August of 2023.
