Hello, my name is Rachel. I am a passionate, highly motivated New Grad BSN. While I am at the beginning of my nursing career, my diverse background has instilled in me a deep understanding of teamwork and professional integrity. I am firmly committed to patient safety and eager to absorb knowledge from experienced clinical mentors. • Rotated across 8 diverse clinical hospitals, gaining hands-on experience in Med-Surge, Telemetry, ICU, ER, OB, PACU, post-op care, and Peds Units.

• Demonstrated strong critical thinking and therapeutic communication in a sub-acute unit by actively listening to a patient with schizophrenia, successfully de-escalating their anxiety, and ensuring medication compliance for hypertension

• Utilized evidence-based patient/family education to resolve an insulin-refusal conflict in a Med-Surg Unit; addressed family distrust by explaining the pathophysiological risks of hyperglycemia (e.g., impaired wound healing post-ankle amputation), ultimately gaining consent and stabilizing the patient's blood glucose.

• Provided essential first- aid and preventative care at a major sporting event, managing heat/cold-related illnesses and upper/lower extremity injuries.

• Monitored health status, performed triage assessments, and managed medication schedules for diverse patient populations in accordance with physician orders.
