I am a third-year undergraduate student at Benedictine University, and I aspire to become a physician. My main mission is to provide excellent care that is focused on the well-being and satisfaction of the patient.
My life experiences have shaped my dedication to service and my motive for pursuing medicine. Love heals all wounds is a motto that I believe anyone in health care should live by. Medicine in all fields is very complex, and I know how it feels to be a patient and a family member of a patient. It is important for those in the field to provide care through comfort to help ease patients' recovery process.
I have worked for 1.5+ years at a primary care office, where I gained valuable experience and was taught the importance of being quick and efficient. At the job, I was in charge of patient intake, taking vitals, chief complaints/ charting, EKGs, communication with pharmacies, lab work such as drawing blood and taking urine samples, and receptionist roles such as answering phones and scheduling patients.
This job has taught me great efficiency skills, taking over 30 patients in 2 hours requires attention to detail and speed. I was capable of maintaining a smooth patient experience allowing patients to be in and out taking no longer than 30 minutes.
Received a high school diploma in 2022, and graduated as the top 10 of my class.
Currently an undergraduate pursuing a health science degree with a double minor in chemistry and Arabic.
