Motivated, personable professional with a successful 25-year track record with the Elkhart County Sheriff Department. Through 16 years, working as a Detective, I was focused on the investigation of crimes involving youth both as victims and as offenders. Retiring in 2019, I was hired as the JDAI Coordinator, and the Director of Juvenile Court Services with Elkhart County. During my time in this position, I helped create new programs for youth offenders in Elkhart County and worked with CAPS to help the youth of Elkhart County. In 2022, I left Juvenile Court Services to take a position with Middlebury Community Schools as their Facilities and Events Director, and part-time School Resource Officer. In my position here I coordinated all scheduling of athletic events as well as rentals for the school facilities. At CAPS, as a Program Director, I monitored a staff of 13, including two supervisors, scheduling and budgeting social workers who focused on crisis and case management along with parent education services.

Communication: Reports/Presentations/TECHNOLOGY 

1. Prepare complete reports for the prosecution of reported crimes, ensuring full compliance with department requirements and time deadlines.
2. Providing technology presentations for community groups and professional organizations involving multiple technology topics. 
3. Assisted in the creation of the Juvenile Court Advisory Team, (JCAT), which reviews juvenile cases submitted for charging with the Prosecutor. This multi-disciplinary team coordinates to determine the best course for each case.

1. Oversee, coordinate, budget, and schedule, of a community ministry.
   1. Organized and created youth ministry program for local church.
   2. Coordinated a budget of regular income funds, along with coordinated special fundraisers for income for special events.
   3. Coordinate, schedule and supervise special programs and trips involving the youth group, along with coordinating adult chaperones and group leaders.
2. Oversee, coordinate, and investigate incidents of delinquent juveniles for multiple offenses:
   1. Brought together investigations for status offenses of runaways, simplifying the audit process for the NCIC and IDACS.
   2. Communicate and educate parents and guardians regarding the often-frustrating juvenile status offenses and the family’s interaction with the court systems.
   3. Assisted with the creation of a statewide survey for Sexually Exploited Children. This SEC survey is used for all runaways processed through detention centers in Indiana.

   2. Created a comprehensive program for supervision of umpires, involving implementation of rewards and remedial training when needed.
