Regina Goforth

My career has spanned the fashion industry as a fashion stylist and editorial assistant to working with children as a nanny and later, a nursery school teacher.

In the fashion industry, I managed studio and location shoots among other hectic adventures, which developed my mile-a-minute organization skills and hawk's eye for detail. As a nanny, I worked for a young family in Tribeca for several years, where I shepherded the fun from breakfast until bedtime. I enjoy using my creativity to relate to children and help nurture a love for exploration and adventure.

I attended Cornell University and Parsons School of Design, lived in Manhattan for 20 years, and am a native of upstate New York. Fun fact: as a 7th and 8th grader, I made it to the finals in the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. In my spare time, I enjoy baking pies, throwing dinner parties and going for long training runs with my Ironman husband!

Assistant Teacher | Little Cool School 

October 2021-May 2024

I worked in Crown Heights, Brooklyn at a lovely school called Little Cool School. I nurtured and taught 12 children (aged 2- 4 years old), using methods similar to Montessori. I helped the children with snack, rest, potty training and play based learning activities. I excelled at introducing craft projects to engage the children in each month’s chosen theme. Projects included making a collage quilt after reading Tar Beach and making bird-feeding garlands which we hung from the trees.

• I am certified in First Aid/ CPR/ AED for Adults and Children.
