I am a wife, mother of 4, and an educator. i became an educator because I love children. I love watching them learn, grow, develop, and find success. I have many years of experience in both the elementary grades where I have taught every subject and in middle school math.
I tutor students of all grade levels in math in the evenings , on weekends, and in the summer. I love being a mother and my kids are most important to me. I love to spend time with family and friends, read, exercise, teach, help others, serve my church and community.
My career started out of college teaching second grade. I then moved to teaching all subjects of fifth grade, and I did this for about 5 years. At that time , I was moved to 7th/8th grade math. After a few years, I had my first child and became a stay-at-home mom.
During my 13 years at home, I tutored students of all ages in math. Upon returning to work 4 years ago, I taught 6th-8th grade math. This school year the principal has asked me to teach 3rd grade as it is a class that needed structure, discipline, experience and organization.
All skills which he believes I am strong in. While teaching these past 4 years, I have continued to tutor math students from elementary through high school years.
I graduated with a degree in elementary education 1-8 with an additional degree in secondary math 7-12. After getting my undergrad, I continued my education to get my masters in reading with allowed me to get a reading 1-12 degree. I continue my education by doing in services and college level colleges in order to keep the most up to date in the education world.
