Hello, my career as a Registered Nurse began over 22 year ago because of my compassion for patient care and quality of life. My dedication to reaching patient goals and quality outcomes has only grown stronger throughout the years. My support for other nurses caring for patients has become my niche.
Good leadership is important for successful clinical staff and patient outcomes. To describe myself from others who have worked with me, I'm told I am very supportive, lead by example, and recognize others accomplishments as well as support in areas for quality improvement.
My career began working in a physicians office while completing my nursing classes in college. Medical assistant was my first title, then LPN working in long term care while completing my degree to be a Registered Nurse. I have worked in different patient care settings with all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics.
My objective for patient care is focused on holistic care. Addressing the patients mental health as well as physical health needs. My experience has led me to become a leader for other clinicians. My passion is to make a difference in our patient outcomes and helping other clinical staff achieve the best quality of life for our patients.
Whether it be managing a health center, an out patient clinic or provider office. My experience in home health care, started as a field staff nurse to leadership as a director of nursing. I have enjoyed my experience as a leader the most out of my career.
I enjoy seeing good results for the company or provider that I am working with in my leadership role. My career goal is to work in a professional environment that offers work life balance.
My RN degree was obtained from my education I received at Ball State university and Ivy Tech State college. I started going to Ball state and transferred my prerequisite courses to Ivy Tech and completed the rest of my degree requirements there.
