• Managed all procurement activities for CFR (imports) and FOR (local purchases) for major projects including Jagran-II, Naltar-III Hydel Power Projects, boilers for sugar mills, OGDCL storage tanks, IT equipment, office furniture, air conditioners, software, and HMC Design Institute upgradation (PC1 project).
• Oversaw procurements under Rate Running Contracts (RRC) and framework agreements ('As and When Required' basis).
• Conducted competitive bidding, technical and commercial evaluations, and prepared proposals for financial concurrence and approvals.
• Managed contracting, L/C and TT processes, shipment tracking, and coordination with Finance/Accounts for timely payments.
• Coordinated with local agents and foreign suppliers to ensure compliance with shipment schedules, submission of original shipping documents, and timely customs clearance at Karachi Port.
• Monitored consignments via ocean vessels to ensure smooth delivery to HMC sites.
• Implemented measures to reduce material rejections on CFR procurements, including affidavits from local agents and supply reference verification.
• Developed and executed procurement strategies, prepared purchase orders, sub-contracts, and responded to supplier queries prior to tender opening.
• Oversaw custom clearance of imported materials through HMC Regional Office Karachi.
• Processed supplier bills and monitored returns, damages, replacements, and warranty claims.
• Managed transportation and logistics of raw materials, machinery, and equipment across HMC projects, including sugar, defense, hydel, and bridge sectors.

• My team included 4 Engineers, 10 Supervisors and about 200 plus workers/machine operators.
• Different parts were produced and machined there against different projects of HMC pertaining to different customers.

Design Engineer - Heavy Mechanical Complex, Taxila - Taxila

(2006 - 2012)

Served Heavy Mechanical Complex Taxila as Design Engineer from 2006 to 2012 in Cement Sector Section of HMC Design Center.

• Design Calculations of Different types of Cement Plant Equipments were carried out like Bucket Elevators, Pan Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Crushing Machines, Cement Mills, Grinding Mills etc.

Technical Assistant - Heavy Electrical Complex, Hattar - Hattar

Heavy Electrical Complex, Hattar designs and manufactures power transformers of different capacities required for different grid stations of WAPDA. These capacities include 10/13 MVA, 20/26 MVA and 40 MVA power transformers.

• I worked as Technical Assistant in Final Assembly Shop of HEC to look after the final assembly activities of the shop prior to movement of transformers to test stations for different tests.
