I am passionate about education across a variety of contexts. Experiences in academia have given me many tangible skills in traditional education, ranging from knowledge-based support in writing, sociological theory, and research methods to helping students email professors, organize workloads, and navigate the collegiate landscape. Outside of academia, working as a bicycle coach has given me experience with early childhood education, where I emphasize building confidence and comfort to create self-sufficiency in both bicycle riding and maintenance.
Working as an instrument salesperson, I've seen the importance of translating technical information into something digestible and relatable, ensuring those I work with feel confident in their decisions and have a positive introduction into the world of music. In all of the work I do, I strive to help others feel supported according to their unique needs, to provide resources that promote self-sufficiency and confidence, and to create smooth, uplifting experiences whether in a university classroom, a music store, or on a mountain bike trail.
