Rick Heathwaite possesses two and a half decades of technical advisory and leadership in the Nuclear Industry.
After earning his B.S. in Chemistry and Physics, Heathwaite started his professional development in 1998 at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, and subsequently spent the remainder of his career immersed in the nuclear industry specializing in Reactor Oversight, Nuclear Chemistry, and Environmental Radiological Programs.
On December 29, 2014 Vermont Yankee permanently shut down due to economic and political factors, which ultimately led to his transition to PSEG Nuclear's Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations.
Additionally, Heathwaite holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Certification from Vermont Yankee (a GE BWR-4 Reactor with Mark I containment).
