- Learning how to process insurance in a timely manner and have meetings with insurance companies when something had an error and needed clarification.
- Making professional judgment when we are busy or patients/parents have specific questions. Always answering questions with the patients best interest in mind.
- Keeping the sterilization area as tidy as possible, without letting it get too overwhelming when we are busy.
- Personally in charge of all ordering and tracking for our appliances (expanders, braces, aligners, etc.) making sure everything arrives in time for bonding. Frequently have meetings with our producers/reps with any delays, questions, or product material concerns.
- Also in charge of most if not all IT in the office. Rebuilt our pc, upgraded it to be more powerful, kept all our internet communications intact and found solutions when we have a shutdown.
Medical Receptionist (2022-01 – 2024-12)
During my time in college I worked part time as a receptionist and xray technician at my pediatric dentist. I was the first person of contact when patients entered to check in and answer any questions with scheduling.
- The main jobs included scheduling, checking in, and making sure results were given in a HIPPA compliant way. Took everyone's insurance, contact and registered email information.
- Was also the xray technician for the office, having to calmly explain to young children to not be scared of the xray machine and how to stay still while taking the xrays. Learned very quickly on how to coax them softly and make sure it came out good the first try.
- When we got a little busy I would also help with sterilization while still maintaining an ear to the phones so I wouldn't miss any incoming calls.
Financial Receptionist (2019-01 – 2020-12)
As one of my first jobs I was trained as a receptionist at my dad's marina. I had been going for much longer and eventually showed interest in learning their computer systems.
- Made sure to check in all incoming boats, being vigilant that we didn't reach capacity inside the marina. Singing in every boat and making sure their radios worked.
- Took incoming calls from captains needing gas, switching on the gas from my area and helped pump the gas, making sure they got charged to card on file.
- Scheduled meetings with clients and potential investors for the marina.
