I am writing to introduce myself as a seasoned professional with an extensive background in international oil and gas operations and information technology. With over 15 years of experience as an executive in the oil and gas industry and more than 25 years as an information technology executive, I have successfully managed various aspects of businesses, including strategic planning, customer interactions, revenue growth, financial management, and ERP expertise spanning two decades.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by overseeing teams of up to 200 individuals, with direct management responsibility for 15 project managers/senior managers. The projects I have managed ranged in size from $50,000 to $350,000,000, encompassing both onshore and offshore operations across West Africa, the United States, and other global regions.
In my most recent position as the Director of Oil and Gas at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), I held the distinction of being the second most senior oil and gas resource in Sub-Saharan Africa. During my tenure, I focused on strategy and operations, diligently implementing processes, resource allocation, assurance, governance, procedures, tools, and standards for program and project management and their respective teams. I consistently ensured the timely delivery, adherence to budgets, scope management, and quality control of projects through the utilization of proven project management techniques, tools, and processes.
Additionally, I provided leadership, guidance, and facilitation across various areas to guarantee successful project execution and support. Regular communication with logistics management, including status reporting, budget tracking, and addressing critical issues, was a crucial aspect of my responsibilities.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with reputable companies such as BP (British Petroleum), Petronas, Shell, Schlumberger, ExxonMobil, Saipem, Addax, and Chevron. During my engagements, I closely monitored EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, overseeing comprehensive status reporting, P&L analysis, RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) frameworks, and RAID Log reviews, all of which fell under the purview of the Project Management Office (PMO).
Leading both technical (engineers) and non-technical (subject matter expert functional) personnel on EPC and internal projects, I have acquired a well-rounded understanding of all facets of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. With my expertise, I have successfully contributed to increasing sales, expanding brand market share, and achieving company objectives by conducting thorough market research, tracking competitor activities, developing effective marketing campaigns, and evaluating staff performance. Moreover, my experience encompasses contract negotiation, cultivating strategic client relationships, and establishing long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.
