I am a first generation American born to Ethiopian parents and lived most of my childhood life there. I enjoy swimming, reading and ama beginner in Brazilian jiu jitsu. MY father was an electrical engineer, and my mother was a flight attendant.
I have never flown before, but I am interested in flying planes in the future as either a hobby or a possible career. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a concentration in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in May of 2021 and since have been working at Northrop Grumman for the last two years as a structural stress analyst on McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet variants and most recently the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II variants. I am now looking to expand on my experience and skills in the stress field.
I am currently working at the Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Mechanical engineer in the structural department, supporting the Joint strike fighter program. I have been employed at Northrop Grumman since March 2021.
