TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER | CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE & INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS | MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

10+ years running the mechanical, electrical, and controls side of facilities that can't go down. Currently directing engineering and environmental operations for a 120,000-square-foot regulated production facility, a GMP beverage manufacturing line, and a series of turnkey containerized facility builds, owning those programs the way a technical program manager would: setting scope, building the schedule, managing budget and resources, and staying on the hook when something breaks.
Background spans HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, and process controls across both new-build and retrofit work, the same 24/7 uptime and redundancy discipline that data center operations run on. I build dashboards from operational data to catch problems early, and I've been using AI and automation tools, including LLMs and scripting, to move faster on documentation and troubleshooting. B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology, and a named inventor on granted U.S. and international patents.
Director of Research & Development | Facilities Engineering & Technical Program Lead - GrowPod Solutions - Skiatook / Tulsa, Oklahoma
(2023-01)
Run the 120,000-square-foot production facility's environmental systems around the clock: temperature, humidity, dew point, air movement, lighting, and water all have to stay in range. Set project scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing for each initiative that touches those systems. Act as the onsite technical authority on HVAC, dehumidification, refrigeration, pumps, process water and irrigation, and electrical/mechanical equipment reliability.
In a data center, this is the role the BMS/EPMS owner plays. Own incident response when critical infrastructure fails. Troubleshoot with operational and sensor data, bring in vendors when needed, and put preventative measures in place so it doesn't happen again.
Build dashboards from operational and incident data to catch trends before they become problems and to make the case for process changes with real numbers. Train internal teams on how to design, configure, validate, install, commission, and operate environmental and process control systems. Run the preventive-maintenance calendar and manage contractor and vendor relationships.
Design and commission turnkey 40-foot containerized indoor facilities start to finish: CAD, HVAC, electric
Beverage Manufacturing & Process Engineering Program Lead - GrowPod Solutions - Tulsa, Oklahoma
(2023-01)
Run carbonated-beverage production start to finish: ingredient batching, pasteurization, heat-exchanger operation, controlled cooldown, glycol cooling, carbonation, filling, packaging, and final quality checks.
UL 541 / UL HazLoc Certification Program Lead Engineer - ViaTouch Media - San Diego, California
(2021-05 - 2022)
Led product-safety and hazardous-location certification for a connected intelligent-vending platform, taking it through UL certification for the US and Canada and CE conformity for Europe. Managed engineering changes, test evidence, and risk resolution across testing labs, suppliers, and internal engineering teams through to certification closure.
Director of Engineering / Director of R&D - ViaTouch Media, Inc. - Corona / San Diego, California
(2016-05 - 2019-11)
Directed development of an intelligent vending platform, from mechanical structures and embedded electronics to weight-sensing shelves, cameras, and real-time inventory tracking, taking it from concept to commercial product. Owned system architecture, prototyping, CAD and mechanical integration, embedded controls, test strategy, and manufacturing readiness, working closely with vendors through field deployment.
Named inventor on the core IP: granted U.S. and international patents covering sensing, stocking, and consumer-interaction systems. Wrote the engineering requirements, design documentation, and verification procedures that governed every controlled product change.
