Hazard reporting from my start date to present have increased and Illness/Injury incidents have decreased directly related to the support my role has contributed

As a Safety Specialist for the Seattle District in Washington State, I helped a team of 7 Specialists under the direct supervision of our manager in Accident investigation, reduction and prevention. I conducted building inspections and reviewed OSHA Programs to ensure our over 300 Post Offices were compliant and that our over 12000 employees were provided a safe and healthy workplace. My responsibilities also included providing guidance to Management for anything Safety related.
I developed a Safety Ambassador Program which aimed to engage and reengage all postal drivers by training and retraining. I managed a team of Drivers instructors who were assigned to complete the initiative. My task included, scheduling my team, budgeting and time allocation to ensure our operations were not disrupted as a result of this program.
I directly communicated with management of the offices that were part of the program the importance and the purpose of the program so that employees who participated also were aware of our purpose. In turn, this created an atmosphere of employees who were informed and engaged.
