What I do lives in three areas: audio/video, music instruction, DJ, and live performance.
I have been doing sound professionally for 30 years. My work includes national tours with the shows Lazer Vaudeville and Bear in the Big Blue House Live. Locally, I operate my own sound company, Rocket Scientist Productions. I have experience in rigging speaker arrays, operating house fly systems, Real Time Analyzers, large and small scale projection systems, breakout rooms, soundboard operation, lighting rig set and strike, theaters, convention halls, and arenas.
Software experience includes Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, Magix Acid Pro and Vegas Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Soundtrack Pro.
For the past seventeen years, I've been teaching guitar, bass, vocals. keyboards and drums. Thirteen of those years were at the School of Rock in Highwood, IL, before I decided to teach independently. travel to the student's home or over Zoom, if more convenient. I can teach all styles of music from beginner to advanced and I develop a lesson plan tailored to each student.
Since 2012, I have been working as an event DJ having done over 200 weddings and private parties. All sound and lights are included in an event package with a small additional charge for ceremonies.
