I believe in a positive, productive, and passionate work ethic that not only serves my employer, but also the team. My gift is to bring out the best in others while bring out the best in me. My leadership style is to lead by example by being ethical, inspirational, trustworthy, and genuine.

I love personal development and team development. I am a trainer at heart. I consider the trainer to be a person who not merely teaches, but imparts through relationship with those served.

I am recently retired from State of Florida, with 26 years, as Staff Development Training Manager. I have led teams across the State of Florida Florida Corrections Academy. I am proficient in team building and team management.

I am skilled at organizing and leading meetings to analyze our performance and deliver accurate data. I have provided guidance to team members and subordinates to include setting performance standards and monitoring expected performances and completing annual evaluations. I am skilled at handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, resolving grievances, issuing corrective counseling, and negotiating effective forward progress.

I understand that forward movement is facilitated through performance and job placement. I have held myself accountable to my leadership and upholding the mission and vision of the agency I partnered with.

I have taught and trained new instructors to train students and other instructors within our agency. I have developed and taught leadership classes for executive leadership teams. I have also trained at annual training conferences with 150 - 200 people in session.

While I work very well with a team, I also know how to work independently.

My most relevant education is capping my work experience with a formal education at University of West Florida, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts. I was prepared to hone my skills as an articulate instructor who is able to speak to diverse groups. I was taught that effective communication is key to transforming our culture.

However, communication is not limited only to speaking, but includes every action and choice that conveys a message. Learning to write and analyze speeches help me to view the environment as well as the listener when speaking with others. Finally, learning to disseminate large amounts of information and deliver in manageable data helped me to cast a clear vision and goals to a team of leaders.
