I am responsible for the safety and leadership for 35 team members. I am responsible for adjusting schedules to meet customers needs. For my supervisory role I schedule team members vacations and time off, payroll, and work schedules. I am also responsible for assuring that customers receive quality material and in a timely manner.

My role as a Operations Supervisor consists of, supervising the processing, loading, and shipping of all orders. Maintaining established safety and costs standards. Ensure assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instructions and tools to perform their duties safely and efficiently. I also hold pre-shift meetings, make daily assignments, and filling vacancies and assigning overtime to meet company and customer objectives.

I supervised a group of men and women totalling 20 on my shift. I was responsible for shift meetings, holding employees accountable for production, safety and meeting nightly quotas. Ensuring each employees was following safety guidelines, giving reviews and keeping track of each employees time. I was responsible for building team moral and encouraging employees to perform at their highest levels in a safe and efficient way.

I was responsible for the safe movement of steel slabs. Each slab is tagged with a certain number according to size and length and i am then responsible to communicate by radio to ground personnel and safely to select then hoist correct coils in weight excess of 250,000lbs while working over 100 feet in the air in a single crane cab. I then became a trainer for employees who was picked to operate the overhead crane.

Shift Supervisor at Caldwell construction (2005-06 – 2007-09)

I hired in as a supervisor trainee and after 8 months of training, I was promoted to night shift supervisor. There were a total of 15 employees that I was responsible for. Shift meetings, keeping track of each of their time, ensuring safety rules and guidelines were being followed, holding team meetings and training new employees.
