- Provides primary and functional nursing care
- Admit patients from OPD or ER
- Integrate nursing process in the delivery of care: Perform physical assessment, identify problems to formulate a nursing diagnosis, plan, and set goals, carry out plans and collect objective data to determine the extent to which goals were achieved and revise the plan as needed
- Prepare the patient for the procedure to be done. Determine the patient's needs for a certain circumstance. (e.g NPO, shaving, enema, laboratory works, procedure consent)
- Assist the doctor in minor surgery or procedure such as chest tube insertion, wound debridement and etc., prepare the necessary equipment needed for the procedure
- Perform wound or post-operative dressing/removal of suture aseptically, intravenous cannulation, NGT and urinary catheter insertion, and blood extraction
- Check and record vital signs, and inform the physician on duty for an unusual result
- Interpret laboratory results and inform physicians
- Administer blood and blood products as ordered

- Administer oxygen as needed, monitor ECG if required, and suction secretions
- Endorse properly to health care providers for proper coordination in the delivery of care
- Response immediately to any emergency situation or disaster (Code Blue, Code Red, Code Yellow)
- In a Code Blue situation, give supplementary ventilation, insert oral or nasal airway, assist the physician in intubation, do suctioning, perform chest compression, initiate intravenous accessibility, monitor vital signs, and apply Automated External Defibrillator, give medications, and record time accurately
