I have either worked in hospitality or the care industry my whole life and just enjoy being around people and giving high standard service with a big smile. I am now looking for new full time work in the Glastonbury/street/Wells area.
February 2026 - Now: I left Lifeline Homecare to go on my final travels but I am now home and no longer looking to travel anymore. I am looking for work to start as soon as possible but I will need a 1 week notice period. I am looking for full time work that is preferably 40 hours plus and working on a every other weekend schedule.
August 2021 - February 2026: Lifeline Homecare: I started off on core care and then I transferred to D2A (Discharge to Assess). This involved supporting patients leaving hospital as soon as medically safe and conducting assessment of need once home ensuring a safe environment. I then helped with rehabilitation and ongoing care.
During my time with Lifeline I took two short sabbaticals where I went travelling for 3 months each time and one longer sabbatical to also travel. Lifeline was very supportive of this.
March 2021 - August 2021: Helping Hands Home Care. This was my first job in care. My role was core care which consisted of looking after people in their homes, providing personal care,
administering medication, assisting with meal prep and household tasks. I was taught to use specialist equipment such as hoists. I also monitored clients' health and wellbeing. I left this role due to moving back to Glastonbury.
March 2020 - March 2021: The Crafty Cow public house, 635 Gloucester Rd Bristol, BS7 0BJ. I was a front of house waitress dealing with running food, taking orders, being on the bar to serve drinks and general day to day tasks. I was with The Crafty Cow over the pandemic so was furloughed off and on throughout the pandemic, however I helped out when and where I was able, assisting with the various ways we were able to keep trading, for example helping with the takeaway business we implemented to keep the business afloat in these difficult times.
March 2019 – March 2020: I began working for The Sheppey public house and award winning restaurant, Godney, Somerset. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working here. My duties included ensuring a smooth service for up to 130 covers, using mixology and running bar shifts. I was also involved in helping out with their Airbnb’s, which consists of 3 rooms and 2 cottages, cleaning and ensuring smooth check-ins.
December 2018 – March 2019: Took time out to travel around India and Sri Lanka.
June 2015 – December 2018: I worked in Hundred Monkeys Café, 52 High St, Glastonbury, Somerset. My time working at the Hundred Monkeys cafe is where I gained my knowledge and passion for the hospitality industry. My natural flair for customer service exceeded expectations within this role and I was soon promoted to Shift Leader; running full services, opening/closing, dealing with difficult complaints, barista trained in coffee, staff management, trusted with the business accounts, handled business invoices using Xero Banking.
I was also the health and safety executive.
October 2014 - June 2015: I was a waitress at Brewers Fayre, Glastonbury. This involved general day to day tasks such as taking orders, running food and drinks and cleaning tasks.
Whilst at college I worked for my mother’s wedding planning business Pagan Wedding Planners & Avalon Event Planners (now closed) in several aspects: waitressing, simple food prep, cleaning, helping to decorate venues, and as a general help running and fetching as required.
