• i got to shadow a medical assistant and I would take vitals signs, take documentation and get to talk to patients. I did my externship at banner sport medicine where I developed many skills. Some of those skills were my communication skills, medical terminology and doing a lot of documentation.

• i got to work with middle school students and be a example for them. My job as a mentor was to help lead my protege into their academic carrer, but also be someone they can count on. I learned to be a leader and a role model which is why helping people has always been my goal and being a mentor was the first step towards my passion.

• I did a course in high school where I learn all the skills to become a home health aide.Some of those skills are wheelchair transfer, Gail belt use, assistance with eating and oral hygiene. Being able to be hands-on made more prepare and confident working in the medical field. With doing this course I got certified in CPR and OSHA.
