I have a wide area of expertise and skillfully experienced in Power Plant generators, Pumps -positive displacement and dynamic centrifugal types, Turbo Chargers and Blowers, Hydraulic and Pneumatics, Bearing and Lubrication, filters and seals, Power transmissions, Condition monitoring, Preventative Maintenance types- Scheduled and Unscheduled, CBM or TPM, types of manufacturing processes, team leader in installation of Diesel and Hydro generators,
I worked at the Power company called the Fiji Electricity Authority (fea), it involves the generation of Diesel, Hydro, and Wind Power, from 1988-2007 and Later I joined the Fiji Institute of Technology (Dereck Campus) from 2007-2012 as a lecturer/Instructor in Plant Maintenance Engineering, and in 2012-2019 (fit) became the Fiji National University (fnu), College of Engineering Science and Technology (Cest) under the School of Mechanical Engineering from 2012-2019. The University offers programs both Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET).
In 2014-2017, I was acting in as the Head of Department (HOD) in Plant Maintenance Engineering, and this post was later confirmed in 2017- 2019.
My Industrial experience is 19 years from1988-2007 working with the Power company called the Fiji Electricity Authority (fea), it involves the generation of Diesel, Hydro and Wind Power Stations (fea) around the Fiji Islands. I started off as an apprentice/Intern and I worked my way up the ladder,
