Working on variety of projects over the years enabled me to enrich my scientific background through evolving critical-thinking skills, leadership attributes, and social networking which are highly significant for my personal growth.
I was trained as a synthetic and medicinal chemist, in which I designed drug candidates targeting infectious diseases and developed novel antibacterials addressing the compelling issue of antibiotic resistance. My work involved establishing a library of analogs through structure-activity relationship (SAR), and screening their potency and affinity to corresponding biological targets. Aside from the synthetic core, I was fortunate to work on methodology-driven projects (C-H) activation to access complicated structural scaffolds.
