Samuel Stark

With 10 years of professional experience as a graphic designer and web developer. I excel at managing projects from concept through to completion, adapting to challenges, and continuously expanding my skills.

I have over a decade of hands-on experience working in the creative and design fields. After graduation, I started working as a graphic and web designer at a Lansing-based creative agency. There, I developed and honed my skills in seeing projects through from ideation to fruition.

In my experience, I have had involvement in every step of the process, including branding, packaging design, copywriting, and advertisement campaigns. Each project I undertook reinforced my skills in communication with various types of clients, vendors, and internal teams to successfully execute each project. This industry experience allowed me to develop the abilities needed to work effectively both in person and remotely, as well as anything in between.

Additionally, I have experience leading and executing the responsibilities of a startup. My most recent position was the creative director of an e-commerce website that sold premium art prints. When hired, there was no production process established, no completed website, and no brand guidelines or assets.

Within one year, I successfully initiated, developed, and oversaw the implementation of a complete production workflow, a fully functional website, and comprehensive brand guidelines and assets.

Furthermore, I led the process of finalizing the brand identity and launching the company website. Starting with a preliminary logo, I worked with the owners and stakeholders to refine the visual direction, articulate the brand's mission, and subsequently develop a comprehensive brand manual.

I studied Illustration in college with a special focus on graphic design. The education in design furthered my understanding of design principals, while the illustration knowledge allowed me to create show-stopping graphics and assets.
