Sanjay Mukherjee

I am working as a scientist at the Oncology Division of Columbia University. I work with blood cancer patients who have Acute Myeloid Leukemia(AML) and a pre-leukemic condition called Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). The major research focus of the lab is to understand the molecular basis of AML in order to develop better diagnostics, prognostics and therapeutics.

I am currently working on two projects-

1. Identification of Polyploid giant cancer cells (PGCC) in MDS patients using minimally invasive iSET diagnostic technique from Rarecells inc. as prognostic marker for Leukemia.
2. Development of Bispecific CAR-T for targeting dual antigens on tumor cells.

I have a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and almost 10 years of research experience in the field of molecular biology and immunology.
