I have served as an active-duty medic in the U.S. Army for the last seven years. During my time in service, I have had extensive medical training, been solely responsible for the health and welfare of over 500 soldiers, managed $500,000 worth of equipment, and led and developed small groups of junior soldiers.

I have had to navigate both equipment and personnel shortages through physically demanding environments, which has developed my creative problem-solving skills and unbreakable resiliency. The challenges I have faced in the military have expertly prepared me for my transition into the civilian workforce, and I would be an excellent addition to improve patient care in your office.

Senior Medic at U.S. Army (2024-02 – Present)

• Provided lifesaving care for a company of 200 soldiers through training and practical scenarios to ensure zero loss of life, limb or eyesight and a minimal hospitalization rate
• Operated in an office management capacity while communicating metrics via email between multiple sections of leadership and managing personnel schedules
• Engineered a tracker for the weekly updating of seven different healthcare metrics across 200 personnel to ensure a 95% deployabilty rate and increase unit readiness
• Scheduled monthly first aid classes to teach non-medical professionals basic life-saving medical care and maintain a 75% trained status within the company
• Molded two junior medics into confident and competent healthcare providers that are able to operate independent of supervisor guidance

Treatment Team Leader at U.S. Army (2023-06 – 2024-02)

• Acted as operations management over a team of five medics to seamlessly operate a trauma treatment table and oversaw patient care as a first line in battlefield medicine scenarios with minimal casualty loss
• Coordinated the management and distribution of individual medical supplies to facilitate the possibility of battlefield self-aid for 1,000 soldiers
• Collaborated with leadership of different sections to create multifaceted training opportunities for soldiers, increasing physical and medical readiness within the unit
• Educate patients on home health care and over the counter medication usage to minimize soldier downtime and reduce debilitating injuries

Healthcare Specialist at U.S. Army (2020-04 – 2023-05)

• Conduct physical examinations, schedule appointments, educate patients, and document patient care in PowerChart, abiding by HIPAA and working closely with both ER physicians and physician assistants to improve patient throughput and satisfaction ratings by 15 percent
• Maintained military ambulances with weekly preventative checks and services, resulting in zero inoperability time and was recognized as the best ambulance aide out of 150 people
• Coordinated the execution of COVID-19 test kits for over 2,000 soldiers across four countries in the Pacific in order to safely redeploy to Hawai'i to include test scheduling, inventory management, and overseeing quarantine procedures
• Built inter-branch cohesion while working on a Joint Task Force with U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and foreign Army and Navy while deployed in the Pacific
