Teaching young mind is a task that cannot be taken lightly. it is full of challenges, frustrations and responsibilities. However, it is a task that is full of excitement, wonder and satisfaction. My personal goal for my future classroom is to watch my students grow to their full potential.
For my classroom, I hope to create engaging lessons and clear expectations as well as a safe learning environment for all. I want to find creative and new ways to have the classroom set up and to help students learn. It is important to me that my students, as well as their parents, other teachers, administrators and people in the community, see me as someone they can approach, who will be fair and nondiscriminatory.
Since graduating with my Master's Degree from Boston University, formally Wheelcock College, I worked in numerous grades at Solomon Schechter Day School in Newton, MA. As an assistant teacher, I helped implement curriculum and assist in daily classroom classes, including literacy, writing, social studies and math.
Over the past year I worked as a full time nanny for a family in Newton, MA. I cared for three children under the age of eight. Light housework was executed daily; laundry, meal prep as well as cleaning up toys, playroom and bedrooms and helping with homework. Field trips and games were created to entertain as well as educate the children.
