I am a materials science and engineering professional with experience in polymeric material design, and process optimization. While pursuing my M.S. at Texas A&M, I contributed significantly as a Polymers Engineer at Tesla, leading recycling initiatives, authoring material standards, designing lightweight thermoplastic materials, and developing Python tools for data manipulation and visualization. I also have a strong background in leadership, materials testing, and academic research, allowing me to excel in innovative and technical roles.
My experience has laid a strong foundation for delivering impactful solutions in high-pressure environments.
During my tenure as a Polymers Engineer at Tesla, I spearheaded innovative initiatives focused on recycling post-industrial and post-consumer coated thermoplastic materials. I authored over 17 material qualification standards and approved all new technical documentation. I designed lightweight polypropylene materials to replace existing injection-molded components, achieving a 20% reduction in part mass.
Additionally, I developed and maintained the internal material database used by Tesla and SpaceX, and I created Python tools for data manipulation and visualization to streamline polymer material selection. My responsibilities also included supplier material qualification, lab testing of polymeric materials, and collaborating on high-impact engineering projects that drove efficiency, cost-down, and sustainability. As of January 2025, I will have been with Tesla for four years.
