As an urban sociologist, my research focuses on studying the built environment and its impact on gender inequality, class-based segregation and environmental vulnerability in South Asian cities. Previously, I have worked as a journalist and have taught undergraduate-level courses in Media studies and social science.
I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Sociology from Syracuse University. My experience in undergraduate teaching spans 9 years. Prior to being in academia, I have worked as a Reporter for a newspaper in Pakistan.
