- Assess and evaluate the quality of mental, emotional and physical care being provided to residents.
- Perform initial interviews and assess new residents.
- Develop care plans for improvement, conduct meetings with caretakers and families, discuss the needed goals and plans of action, and reach out to specialists.
- Knowledge of regulations and requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, HMO and in the utilization of RUGS.
- Contributes to the center interdisciplinary RAI process while following RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding and electronic transmission of the MDS.

- Coordinate, supervise and provide professional restorative nursing care to residents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the financial aspects of nursing operations and provide accurate documentation of all services in order to assure accurate reimbursement from all payer sources.
- Manage the resources available in the role of restorative nurse while ensuring that needed resources are available and that quality of care is delivered to all residents.
- Participate in the development of a written restorative and activities of daily living (ADL) care plan and assessment for each resident, review, and revise as appropriate.
- Ensure that a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents is maintained at all times and assure that resident needs are met.
- Maintain resident documentation, records, care plans, and charts to ensure an accurate, up to date record of the resident's medical treatments.
- Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environment and infection control standards.
- Participate in and provide scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain licensure and certification of team members and enhance quality of care.
- Manage and create educational classes and information for STNA's in order to ensure correct and accurate documentation on ADLs are done to maintain correct reimbursement for the facility.
- Manage and supervise restorative nurse assistant staff and create schedules accordingly.
- Work with nursing, PT, nutrition, etc., to ensure care plan guidelines for each resident are followed, and compliant with ethical standards and Medicare requirements.
- Assesses and evaluates the immunization status and needs of patients and employees through the knowledge of current vaccine preventable disease, immunization guidelines, vaccination schedules, state, federal, and international requirements, and patient medical history.
- Manage COVID vaccination clinics while administering vaccines, overseeing and monitoring patients.
- Reporting vaccination status and relevant data to National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).
