An instant friend with life experiences as well as volunteer experiences with CASA,INTERNATIONAL in guiding and encouraging and identifying at risk situations with young women. A creative and energetic neighborhood mom who walks alongside people of various ages and situations desperate to find something in themselves that carries them forward.

A restaurateur, a licensed teacher for elementary students, a recruiter of potential buyers of designer clothing, a foster parent, a support parent for displaced young girls and women and families. People, often strangers, who are so lost that my husband and I asked them to stay in our home.

There was no agency involved in this adventure or any outside financial support. Just to hear their stories and watch them take steps to help themselves was the jewel.

I’ve traveled to villages in Central America with medical groups who have served the people well.

My hope is to care about the people who come into my presence. To show they are worthy of being seen and even if just for a moment feel loved.
